Earlier this year, Honda launched the first flex-fuel motorcycle in the world. Now, the Honda Titan Mix is beating its gasoline counterpart for consumer preference. About 60% of all the Company’s Titan 150 cc motorcycles sold in the second quarter of this year.
Honda’s first-of-its-kind flex-fuel bike now has a 12.5% share of all new motorcycles sold in Brazil in the last 4 months, according to Brazil’s motorcycle industry association (ABRACICLO). That’s quite a feat, considering that sales of new motorcycle registered are down 19% in the first half of 2009, compared to the same period last year. About 765 thousand motorcycles have been registered in Brazil so far this year.
